About Meyestro

Meyestro’s Story

Meyestro’s founder, Gina Maisto Smith, has spent decades advising institutions through high-stakes crises. She saw firsthand how risk materializes for universities—and how existing tools for campus GRC fail to address it.

Along with a team of legal and technology experts, Gina partnered with a nationally-known R1 university to build a solution to fill those gaps. The result is Meyestro: a software platform that turns institutional values into operational reality—by bringing clarity, coordination, and confidence to the moments that matter most.

Meyestro is grounded in real institutional experience—and that experience is embedded in the platform itself: mission-driven, grounded in root-cause analysis, and built with the rigor and compassion required before a crisis begins.

Gina’s legal career spans over 30 years, with nearly two decades as Philadelphia’s Assistant District Attorney before moving to private practice, where she founded Cozen O’Connor’s Institutional Response Group, the nation’s first law practice dedicated to the institutional response to sexual and gender-based harassment, violence, child abuse, elder abuse, other forms of discrimination and harassment, workplace misconduct, and criminal conduct.
